99th MNS Raising Day

On 6th October 2024, we proudly celebrate the 99th Raising Day of the Military Nursing Service (MNS) — a momentous occasion marking nearly a century of unwavering commitment, courage, and compassionate care. Since its inception in 1926, the MNS has been the healing arm of the Indian Armed Forces — serving with excellence in war and peace, on battlefields and in military hospitals, both at home and abroad. MNS officers have stood shoulder to shoulder with soldiers, offering medical aid in the harshest terrains, disaster zones, and combat missions, always with calm professionalism and resolute strength. Over the past 99 years, the MNS has been an embodiment of service beyond self, contributing in times of global conflict, national emergencies, peacekeeping operations, and public health crises. With every bandage wrapped and every life saved, MNS personnel have lived the values of discipline, dedication, and dignity. This Raising Day is not just a celebration of history — it is a tribute to the past, a recognition of the present, and a reaffirmation of the values that will guide the next generation of military nurses into the centenary year and beyond.
